A Variety programme broadcast from the stage of The Palace Theatre, Plymouth
D.M. Fletcher
D.M. Fletcher, who has had much to do with the running of the Basque Refugee Children's camp, a few miles to the north of Southampton, gives his talk the day before the camp breaks up. By that time it is hoped that new homes will have been found for all the children. It was a tremendous undertaking to bring four thousand children to camp; particularly when they were in a foreign land, hardly any of them knowing a word of English, and separated from their families and friends.
