from the Craigside Hotel Hydro, Llandudno

The Craigside Hydro is one of the best known hydros in North Wales, and is particularly popular with tennis and badminton fans. The covered tennis courts, built thirty years ago, were first used by the famous Doherty brothers, who were for many years the tennis champions of England. The Welsh Covered Courts Championships and the Welsh Badminton Championships are regularly held on these courts. The Hydro itself nestles at the foot of the Little Orme, and commands a magnificent view of rugged mountains on one side and of the sea on the other.
