S. T. Webber , the conductor of this band, comes from a family of Army musicians and led a military band of the Queen's Royal Regiment during the War at the age of nineteen. After four years study at Kneller Hall , he graduated as Bandmaster and was appointed to the Seaforth Highlanders at the early age of twenty-four, being at that time the youngest Bandmaster in the British Army.
