Having won success in several competitions at the Bristol Eisteddfod in 1932 and 1933, Eileen Jerrim decided upon a career as a singer, became a member of the Bristol Amateur Operatic Society, and also sang at the popular concerts at the Little Theatre. She continued her training in London and gave a recital at the Aeolian Hall in October, 1936.
