'The home life of some common birds', G.W. MACALLISTER
In this talk Mr. MacAllister will discuss the methods by which the home life of birds may be studied. In the case of the rook the matter is comparatively simple, because the birds do not trouble themselves about being watched from the ground. Others, however, are very suspicious of the presence of human beings. Mr. MacAllister will indicate how more might be learned about the habits of such shy birds as the Meadow-Pipit with its strange foster child the young Cuckoo, the Ring-Ouzel, the Common Tern, the Black-backed Gull, the Lapwing, and the Kestrel.
