(Leader, ALFRED CAVE)
Conducted by LESLIE HEWARD
ERNST WOLFF (pianoforte) This work, composed in 1927 and first performed in the studio in June, 1929, has no actual programme, but we are not meant to listen to it quite as absolute music, certainly not as academic music, despite the orthodox treatment of its material. There are two main sections, a slow introduction leading straight into an allegro risolulo.
