Three young men, on board their yacht Skylark, are busy singing and washing up tea things, when the motor cruiser Carefree bumps into their boat. In this way they are unceremoniously introduced to the Mantons and their two charming daughters. One of the young men, Dennis Drake, falls in love with one of the girls, Lorna, but the Mantons have rather snobbish ideas about men friends for their girls, so the boys pretend Dennis is a Crown Prince. This is the situation leading up to amusing developments.
The author, Charles Hatton, is a freelance journalist, living at Kingswinford, near Dudley. He wrote the radio revue Midland Masquerade, and also the short play Suicide Party, which was relayed from the Birmingham Repertory Theatre last winter.
The composer, Jack Hill, has broadcast frequently both as a straight pianist and in syncopated numbers. He is one of The Three Knaves in 'The Radioptimists'.
