The competition for the Walker Cup, played for every two years in alternate countries between amateur golf teams representing Great Britain and America, was inaugurated in 1921, and has never yet been won by us.
Only two of the American team besides Francis Ouimet have ever played in England before-Johnny Goodman and Johnny Fischer , who played in the Walker Cup game four years ago. Reynolds Smith and C. Yates played in the last Walker Cup match two years ago in America.
