talks to DR. ARCHIE CLOW about his work on radar
As early as 1915 Robert Watson. Watt was tracking thunderstorms for meteorological reasons: by the outbreak of the second world war the work had developed into a chain of radar stations from the Isle of Wight to St. Andrews for military purposes. Now, at just over 73, he has retired and is about to move his home back to London from Tuxedo in New York State. It was during a visit to arrange this move that this conversation was recorded.
