The Ordinary Devoted Mother and her Children
I-Some Occasions for Saying ' No '
Several mothers of babies and toddlers recorded, unrehearsed, conversations among themselves about problems of upbringing. They suggested the BBC might supply on the air some background of theory to help in dealing with typical situations. For example, when and how often do you say No ' to your child? Are your children ever jealous of each other? Do you find anything irksome about your work in the home?
This programme includes part of the mothers' conversation, and some comments on it by a paediatrician who is also a children's psychiatrist.
