The Colonisation of the Desert by A. J. Marshall D.sc. ,
Excluding only the extreme polar regions and the highest, permanently-icy sierras, the whole surface of the Earth has been colonised by animals; but in some places they just manage to do so, and then only by means of astonishing adaptations.
Dr. Marshall has just returned from a collecting expedition to Australia, and in this talk he describes some of the strange animals he saw there.
