Long Live Punch ! by David Holbrook
Why is it that Punch and Judy Shows are still the same favourites with children today as they were fifty years or more ago? The speaker believes it is because they help children to come to terms with violence, death, and cruelty in a comic form which the child can take part in, absorb, and accept. Mr. Holbrook illustrates his talk with recordings made by a Punch and Judy man.
