The Scene is laid in a compartment of an Express Train. The old gentleman is seated in one corner opposite the old lady. Next him is the girl and opposite her the young man. These four have instinctively moved up one end to chatter although the young man and girl are the only members of the party previously acquainted. Empty seats divide them from the man in the far corner.
