To thousands of ex-Service men, Mr. Studdert-Kennedy will always be 'Woodbine Willie,' chief amongst the padres whom the war did not find wanting; and no books by a clergyman have had more popularity than his 'Rough Rhymes of a Padre,' 'Food for the Fed-Up,' and 'The Word and the Work.' He is now Rector of St. Edmunds, Lombard Street, in the City of London.
