WARS and massacres abound in human history, but nowhere can one find any so grim as the annual massacre that goes on in the bee-hives at this season every year. The drones-for thousands of years the type of idleness in the literatures of the world-have had their summer of ease and luxury; now comes their hour of reckoning. How this tragedy is worked out Miss Kennedy Bell will explain in this evening's talk.

Away in the virgin jungle of Malaya lives an animal - the Seladang - that is asserted by , those who have hunted him to be the most dangerous quarry in the world. It is not merely that he stands six feet high and has horns six feet or more in length; what makes him so particularly formidable is the fact that, unlike most big game, he is apt to attack unprovoked, and, when attacked himself, he fights his hunter to the death. 'Either you get him or he gets you.' Major Noyes will describe some thrilling incidents in which hunters have either got, or been got by, Seladang.
