Gloria Watt has been arrested in connection with the death of Arthur Devenish , and Ruby Turner , Sally, and Mrs. Dale have all been instrumental in bringing this about. Jenny and Bob have had news of Heidi, who is going to return to them. Mrs. Dale feels guilty because she has helped to bring about Gloria's arrest. Sheila and Tom Draycott have been more or less reconciled, and in her softened mood Sheila is anxious to help Gloria at her trial.
