David Owen is not the only resident of St. Peter's Road who is disturbed by the Development Scheme. Dr. Robertson is also seriously upset; so much so that he has told Dr. Dale that he is considering leaving Exton and the Practice. Jenny's au pair girl didn'arrive on the day she was expected. Roddy's mother has arrived unexpectedly and has met Lalage. There has been some tension between Mrs. Dale and David over the Compulsory Purchase Order.
