Mrs. Freeman went to Gwyngaredd to see if the Owens had any furniture she could buy for her antique shop. The Dales discussed Sally's problem-whether she should go to live in America as Richard wanted. Mrs. Sheans was hit on the head by a stone thrown by a small boy; in hospital they found she had anaemia and kept her in. Isobel lost her Earl of Essex from ' Merrie England' and asked Henry to take over the part.

A few yards from the bank of the Potomac River in the U.S.A., a 500-ton naval barge lay at anchor. It was used for testing various pieces of underwater equipment.
