A serial in six parts by Angus MacVicar
[Starring] Rona Anderson and Bryden Murdoch
It is the winter of 1937. Sir Robert Vanburgh, head of the British Secret Service, has sent young Gordon Campbell to Bennasheen, a fishing-village in the west of Scotland. Bennasheen, Sir Robert suspects, is the headquarters of a Mussolini spy, 'The Singing Spider.' Campbell, who has encountered an American anthropologist, Professor Henry J. Knickerbocker, thinks he has found a clue in words written on a piece of paper by the Professor: 'Fovea Baalis'... 'The Pit of Baal'.
