Repeated on Thursday at 11.15 a.m.
Caradoc explained that he had gone to live with Tony Coppard , who had found him a job as a car salesman. He had left a note for Gwen saying that he was leaving, but Billy used the note for drawing on and then put it in his satchel. Mrs. Freeman had a telegram from Maud French saying she was ill and went to Brighton to see her. Maud did not seem very ill, but insisted that Mrs. Freeman should stay with her. When the hotel manager suggested that Maud should go to a nursing home, she was very upset, and Mrs. Freeman promised to try to arrange for her to go to The Laurels in Parkwood Hill.
