Bob borrowed some money from Dr. Dale as, owing to Jenny's acceptance of Sir Franklin's stage offer, they needed to re-stock Jenny's wardrobe and would be involved in extra expense before she started earning. Mrs. Maggs kept changing her mind about staying on at Virginia Lodge. Finally, Mr. Maggs said she must leave.
