Dr. Dale and Miriam tried to get Grandfather Dale and Alec to make up their quarrel, but without success. Jenny revealed that she had had an offer from Sir Franklin Reid to act in a forthcoming West End play. Mrs. Freeman became overtired and depressed. She confessed to Mr. Fraser that Miriam had been writing the Rosemary Freeman ' page, and suggested she should be allowed to take it over permanently. Henry's son was born on September 17.
