True stories of the world we live in 17-REVOLT AT RIGNIK
Following the death of Stalin in March 1953 a wave of unrest swept through the labour camps in the Soviet Union where political offenders were imprisoned; in several there were revolts. This programme tells the story of the revolt of 13,000 men and women in a camp in Siberia. Place and proper names have been changed, but the story remains true to the evidence available.
