Mrs. Dale, the doctor's wife, records the daily happenings in the life of her family
To be repeated tomorrow at 11.15 a.m.
Ivor's wedding to Joanna had to be postponed because Joanna had run away. Ted Harper caught Joanna's brother Sidney telephoning to her in a call-box; the little boy confessed that he knew she was staying at the farm in Devon where she had lived as an evacuee during the war. Mrs. Freeman announced that she would come back temporarily to Virginia Lodge while Dr. and Mrs. Dale were on holiday, in order that there should be someone to look after Grandfather Dale. Jenny went down to Wales to stay with Mrs. Owen. Dr. Dale tried to return the clock to Mrs. Phillips, but she told him that she had known its value all along, and insisted that he kept it.
