Mrs. Morgan was married to Maggs and they went to Salisbury on their honeymoon. Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell wrote to Ivor to tell him they were coming to London. With some difficulty, Ivor persuaded Joanna to agree to meet them. On the day, however, Joanna telephoned to say that she did not feel well. Ivor was angry, thinking she was simply making an excuse to avoid meeting his parents. Janet telephoned the next day to say that Joanna was worse and Dr. Dale said that her hand was poisoned.
