asks Percy Cudlipp
In the second of a new series of programmes in which he brings three doctors to your house to answer your questions
What worries you? What don't you understand? When it comes to biology, can you keep up with your children? In this scientific age, people can find themselves at sea for want of information when faced with the need to meet a trying situation or make up their minds on a personal matter. The panel apply their knowledge of medicine and biology to questions of general interest sent in by listeners.
Guest of the Panel this week:
P. B.- Medawar, F.R.S.

15—' The Dark Haven '
Written by Stephen Grenfell and produced by Alan Burgess
'Towards the end of 1940 the R.A.F., particularly Bomber Command, were suffering a number of unnecessary losses of aircraft which, although they had finished their operations, yet because of the weather or other causes, were unable to return to their own bases or find an alternative fit airfield.' (From a Fighter Command document, 1945.)
This programme describes the birth and the development of the service organisation whose task it became to bring safely to the dark haven of blacked-out Britain hundreds of similar aircraft and their crews.
