Bob took the Seven Dials flat in spite of Mrs. Dale's disapproval and Jenny's doubts. Richard Fulton was seriously injured in a road accident and taken to the Middlesex Hospital. Sally told Raff she could not promise to marry him till Fulton was out of danger, but Raff refused to wait for an answer and told Sally that everything was over between them. Mrs. Mountford went into the Nursing Home to rest' and the first patients began to arrive.
