Mrs. Dale, the doctor's wife, records the daily happenings in the life of her family
Dr. Date agreed to let the builders start work on the Nursing Home and to engage a part-time secretary to help with correspondence and morning surgeries. Mrs. Mountford treated Miss Marchbanks with more consideration and allowed her to take part in the Talents Scheme. Bob persuaded Gwen to be more friendly to Jenny and also to take her as a boarder when they moved to their new flat in Battersea.
Mrs. Morgan complained about the mess Andrew's patients made in the dining-room and was worried about her daughter's health. Raffaele took Sally out to dinner and told her he had been married years ago but that his wife had died a few months later.

The Mars land fleet, led by Jet Morgan, crossed the Argyre Desert in pursuit of the mysterious flying craft that had abducted the crew of the wrecked Freighter No. 2.
