Marshal of the Royal Air Force Lord Tedder Deputy Supreme Commander, Allied Expeditionary Forces, 1943-1945 introduces broadcasts from Portsmouth, Arromanches, Caen, Brussels, Antwerp, Nijmegen, Oosterbeek, Xanten and Luneburg. David Woodward and Sergeant Ian Johnson of the 1st Battalion Parachute Regiment, flying over France, compare notes about the way they landed on D-Day. From off Arromanches, Howard Marshall broadcasts from a landing craft, and introduces Lt. George Honour, D.S.C., R.N.V.R., who commanded a midget submarine
