Mrs. Dale, the doctor's wife. records the daily happenings in the life of her family
Script by Joan Carr-Jones
To be repeated tomorrow at 11.0 a.m. Last week Sally asked Mrs. Dale and the family to spend Christmas with her at Gimlet Green. Mrs. Dale was undecided because one of the Doctor's patients, Paul Vernon , was going to be alone at school over the holiday since his mother had previously arranged to go abroad. Sally told Richard Fulton about Paul Vernon and Le suggested that as he would be away Paul could stay at his flat with Mrs. Taylor to look after him. Dr. Dale told Mrs. Vernon about Richard Fulton 's kind offer. At first she would not agree but when she heard he was a famous author she changed her mind. Jenny's mother telephoned and said it would be unwise for Jenny to spend Christmas at home as the twins had mumps. Jenny was worried because she knew Sally could not put her up at Gimlet Green. She went to tell David but he was too busy to listen. Bob was out and Mrs. Dale was impatient, so Jenny left Virginia Lodge in tears, thinking she would have to spend Christmas on her own.
A message of comfort and eheer for all ' in trouble, sorrow, need, sickness, or any other adversity'
