from Blackhall Parish Church, Edinburgh. Conducted by the Minister, the Rev. J.G. Matheson

Fifty years ago Blackhall was a tiny village a few miles walk from the city. Nothing of the old village is left but something of its spirit Temains in the new suburban housing district. The old residents still talk about 'the village' and Blackhall has the character of a village community. The church itself has grown with the new parish but is not yet completed, the tower still being in process of building.
The services coming from this church took towards Christmas and are meant to help you to approach this Christian Festival with understanding and gladness.
