The sort of world we think we live in depends on the information we receive from our senses, and the way our brains sort it out. In some ways, particularly by touch, the octopus receives more information than we do, but its brain does not take full advantage of this fact.

Henry Wick leaves his suburban home as usual to go to his work as a clerk in the office of a City stockbroker. On arrival, the head of the firm gives him a bonus cheque for Cioo and tells him to take a week's holiday. What happened to Henry after this unexpected windfall is the subject of this comedy.
