A short story by Bill Naughton
Read by Deryck Guyler
' As he "watched Murphy swiftly roll up his shirt sleeves, almost to the shoulder, he thought " there's the unskilled man." Then he saw Smith, a tall pale man, adjust his arm-bands. " That's more like it. I'd lay ten to one he'd win, if I were a betting man .. " ' For Edgar Kay the contest between Smith and Murphy was more than just a game of bowls; it was part of the deeper economic struggle between the skilled and the unskilled man.

5 — ' In Enemy Country '
Production by David Davis
Disguised as a wandering Greek oculist (Demetrius of Alexandria) and his servant, Marcus and Esca travelled north of the Wall into the now abandoned province of Valentia, hoping to learn how the Ninth Legion met its end, and, if it still existed, to recover its lost Eagle.
After many months they met a hunter called Guern, who had been a Roman Legionary of the Ninth, and from him they heard of the Legion's last days.
