Last week Tamzin and Rissa, Meryon and Roger had set out to storm the boundaries of Castle Farm. Once over the boundary, the four friends intended to go all out to help the Merrows, with whom they had originally been invited to spend a camping holiday until the fear of infection forced Mr. and Mrs. Merrow to put them off. They felt confident of their welcome at the farmhouse, once they were disinfected.
