The interludes throughout this term are about great Christians of different countries, most of them belonging to our own times. They illustrate the way .in which the Gospel has been taken, as Christ commanded. ' into all the world.' Today there is a special Whitsuntide interlude telling how the Christian Church began on the day of Pentecost, in the coming of the Holy Spirit, and how from the beginning people of all nations were welcomed into the Christian community.
