Gwen Catley , who is very popular with listeners, went to the Guildhall School of Music when she was only seventeen. Two years later she won a scholarship there, and later, the gold medal at the Guildhall. Since then, she has sung with most of the principal orchestras all over the country, and has won notable success as an operatic singer. At Sadler's Wells she sang the difficult music of ' Queen of the Night' in The Magic Flute, and she also appeared there as Nanette in Falslaft. In the good old days of television she played Cinderella in the television pantomime.
