and Blessing of the Candles for Candlemas Day
from St. Benedict's Abbey, Ealing.
Sermon by The Rt. Rev. Cuthbert Rupert Hall, O.S.B. Abbot of Ealing
Action of the Mass described by Fr. Agnellus Andrew, O.F.M.
Ealing Abbey, a daughter house of Downside, which was largely destroyed in 1940, was re-opened in 1962. It is now a fully independent Abbey, the only Benedictine Abbey in London. Centred upon the Abbey, as well as the full monastic life, are a large parish and school. The parish choir joins the Monks in singing this Mass.
