Today, in spite of the Fifth Test Match, Grandstand changes from summer to winter: David Coleman is back and the English Football League programme starts. So from today Grandstand will include football news and a full up-to-the-minute results service as they come off the ticker-tapes. Its reporters will be at the top football matches sending back the latest news throughout the afternoon.

A new series for boxing fans - a weekly film report from America on the fight of the week - is also starting today. Today's fight - the first of the series - is between 24-year-old Benny Paret of Cuba, whose record is 33 wins in 46 fights with 9 knock-outs, and 22-year-old Don Fullmer, whose record is 25 wins in 30 fights with 9 knock-outs.
