This week "Gardening Club" visits Rowallane in Northern Ireland, the home of Mrs. Armytage-Moore, which is part of the National Trust (Northern Ireland). In this BBC film Percy Thrower makes a tour of the garden and shows some of its more unusual features.
In the studio the guest is H. J. Randall, C.B.E., a past president of the British Iris Society, who shows several species and discusses their development into the modern tall bearded irises.
Percy Thrower plants out brassicas, sows wallflowers, and pollinates tomatoes.
