The Training of Parachute Troops
This programme shows how the various stages of ground training develop in the men the necessary skill and confidence. Weather permitting, viewers will see a series of descents made from a balloon eight hundred feet up. One of the television mobile cameras will be in a cage suspended from a second balloon six hundred feet up
The men taking part are Territorials. and members of the Middlesex Yeomanry (T.A.). 16th Airborne Division Signals Regiment. They are trained by the No. 1 Parachute School, Royal Air Force.
