In the summer of 1900 the old 'two-penny tube', now the Central line, was opened to the public between Shepherd's Bush and the Bank. This film records the opening of a recent extension on the Central line which runs from West Ruislip to Debden.

A play by Roger MacDougall.
The play takes place in Dr. Cassidy's house in Ulster and in Phelan's garage two miles south of the border in Eire. Time is during the last war when Eire was neutral and Ulster was at war.
