This ballet deals with the troubles of cafe life chiefly caused by la Goulash, the star of the Can-Can troupe. Unaccustomed to cabaret work, she expects to be paid. When money is not forthcoming she walks out with a Hussar, leaving the Impresario and Madame la Patronne stranded. A frantic search produces talent in unexpected places, and after a few fireworks all are reconciled.

Illustrations from the latest scientific films of a number of' countries include extracts from "Hermits of the Sky", a film of astronomy, and a film of geological research in the Pacific.
