at two pianos
Alleyne and Leonhardt are the pseudonyms adopted by two brilliant English pianists who are well known on the air and in the concert-hall. Leonhardt was thought to be the most distinguished pupil of post-war years to pass out of the Leipzig Conservatoire. They are now exploiting a novel formula, creating their own arrangements of the lighter classics and British folk songs and ballads. Their work is not that of the usunl duettists, but a new conception of the development of two pianists playing together.
Introduced by David Seth-Smith and their Keepers.
