Today he talks to the author, Andrea Gillies, about the incredibly difficult decision of whether to continue visiting a relative with dementia, who doesn't remember who you are.

There will be further sources of information and support for people affected by dementia at bbc.co.uk/radio2. People can share their experiences with others through a special message board or post a question to our experts from the Alzheimer's Society.
