Five thousand years ago, the Egyptians piled up 25 million tons of quarried limestone blocks to build the pyramids. How did they do it, or perhaps more intriguingly, why?

A series of six programmes in which the BBC Big Band re-create famous big-band broadcasts of yesteryear.
2: The featured band is the American Band of the AEF, led by Major Glenn Miller. Sheila Tracy looks back to two broadcasts recorded in 1944 prior to the band's departure for France and Miller's mysterious disappearance. The music includes String of Pearls, American Patrol, and the voice of Miller himself.
