Tonight Radio 2 begins its celebration of the world of jazz, the Radio 2 Jazz Season (10.00pm). Over the coming weeks there will be specially recorded concerts and other programmes showcasing the talents of some of the finest jazz musicians around.
Among the stars to be heard this week are the Humphrey Lyttelton Big Band, the Andy Sheppard Quintet, Stan Tracey , Cleo Laine and John Dankworth , and the Ronnie Scott Sextet.
