[Article] The early shift
It's a 'three alarm clock job' for Chris Stuart this week when he takes over the Ray Moore slot (Easter Monday 7.05am, Tuesday to Friday 5.30am). Having presented Radio Wales's AM programme for the past eight years he's not unfamiliar with early rising but says: 'This means getting up at four o'clock - a bit terrifying.' So is the prospect of two hours without a guest to talk to. 'My guests have always been my shield and protector. Now it's the listeners who have to join my early morning club.'
Chris has stood in for Ray and Roger Royle and he will be remembered as the piano player of Baby Grand. He wrote Aled Jones's last Christmas record, A Winter Story.
