Coates's career, producing such works as 'The three men', 'The enchanted garden' and the 'London suite' whose last movement, the 'Knightsbridge march', became the signature theme of In Town Tonight.
In this third programme the composer's son, Austin Coates, reveals some fascinating stories behind the writing, recording and subsequent fame of these and other works.
