' We'd been running for six months and the business had dropped off. A solo dance was put in for me and I had a most beautiful costume made. It was mainly chiffon, a most beautiful dress. I appeared in a double page in the Tatler in this dress. The press were invited to my first performance and they were very kind, except one paper. I've never seen such a big headline. It said Girl in dance and little else". Everyone flocked to the theatre to see this apparently shocking costume. The business picked up magnificently and we ran for another six months.'
