introduces a special edition of Be My Guest
Broadcasting House was opened 38 years ago and the sound of the BBC Dance Orchestra, directed by Henry Hall , was the first to be broadcast from the new building.
Through the changing radio scene Henry Hall has continued to be heard as a well-loved voice - above all through his ' Guest Nights'. Tonight he makes a farewell broadcast, remembering some of the other broadcasters and just a few of the melodies which carry special associations for him. Produced by DENIS LEWELL †
